Barn Theatre Port Sanilac
The
Barn Theater is located on the south end of Port Sanilac on the same grounds
as the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum. The theater started its
life doing one just show a summer and continued growing until it now offers
six full shows, plus a children’s show with all young actors, and three
concerts; all between Memorial Day and Labor Day. One of the few remaining
barn theatres, but the Barn Theater is still thriving after a quarter of a
century.
There’s
something special about the old, gray barn, where sometimes on a
particularly hot, humid day you can still get a slight whiff of the hay that
was stored there years ago – something that calls to people and to actors.
For many the barn is the only place they have ever seen a stage show. The
Barn Theater is a come as you are kind of theater. The dress code is
“comfortable” after all it is a barn. And we have something for everyone.
Several shows are great for the entire family and some of them are for older
kids and adults who want a fun evening out.
If you haven’t seen a barn show, why not treat yourself and your family this
year to a night of inexpensive entertainment, for just the two of you or the
whole family? Call 810/622 9114 for reservations.
